Travel to school
Planning your school travel is easy. There are a range of safe transport options to get to our school.
Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up students from the Queen Street entrance to the school.
For the safety of students, Concord Road and Queen Street gates are locked during the school day, but are unlocked at drop off and pick up times. See bell and gate times
Visitors and Deliveries - please park on Queen Street and proceed to the Office via the Queen Street entrance gate (buzz for entry during the school day).

We are located at 378 Concord Rd, NSW 2138 Concord West. Parking and access is recommended from the Queen Street entrance at the rear of the school.

Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.

Eligible students can get a free travel pass under the School Student Transport Scheme. Apply for a travel pass today.
Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones
- follow speed signs
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
Drop off and pick up procedures
Concord West Public School has a "Kiss and Drop" zone that is used in the mornings and afternoons for the drop off and pick up of students. If you are using this area please consider the safety of all students over convenience.
Safety tips for drivers
- Always drop-off or pick-up your child from the designated area, following the school's procedures.
- Drivers should remain within 3 metres of their vehicle at all times in the "Kiss and Drop" area and not remain for longer than 2 minutes.
- Ensure children use the footpath-side door when getting in and out of a car.
- Ensure the hand brake is applied when the vehicle is stationary.
- Never double park.
- Never park across a pedestrian crossing.
- Never undertake a U-turn in close proximity to the school.
Safety tips for students
- Stay buckled up until the vehicle has stopped in the "Kiss and Drop" area.
- Ensure your school bag and other items are in a safe position, such as on the floor.
- Be ready to get out of the car with your belongings when the car has stopped and you have unbuckled your seatbelt.
- Always get in and out of the backseat of the vehicle through the safety door – the rear footpath-side door.
