Concord West Public School offers Community Language programs in Italian and Korean,
The Community Languages Schools Program is one of a range of provisions supported by the NSW Government to help students maintain and develop their first language. For background speakers, a community language program can assist learners to develop their language by building their existing linguistic resources and by making use of the access they have to language outside the school
Italian
The Italian program operates 3 days a week and is taught by Signora Mazzeo. Students from an Italian speaking background are offered Intensive Italian lessons for 2 hours per week. Italian is also taught as a Language Other Than English (LOTE) in Kindergarten to year 2 classes.
Korean
The Korean program operates 2 days a week and is taught by Miss Kim. Students from a Korean speaking background are offered intensive Korean lessons for 2 hours per week. Korean is also taught as a Language other than English (LOTE) in all Kindergarten classes.
